Policies and Conditions

Reservation Policy

  • A 50% deposit of the total amount of the invoice is payable upon booking by Visa or Mastercard. The other half is payable during your stay. This policy applies equally to the practice of an activity or equipment rental.
  • In accommodation, a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the invoice is payable upon booking by Visa or Mastercard. The other half is payable two weeks before your stay. And during the holiday season, the second payment is due on December 1.
  • If weather or other conditions deemed unacceptable, the Lac Beauport Outfitter reserves the right to cancel any activities that may harm the security of its customers.

Cancellation Policy

  • The cancellation fees is 10$ if you notify 7 days in advance.
  • 50% penalty on the total amount of your bill if you cancel between 1-6 days in advance.
  • No refund if you cancel the same day.
  • In case of a late arrival on your part for the dogsledding or the snowmobile activity, we will be forced to reduce the length of your activity, so as not to penalize other customers.
  • No schedule changes will be possible.

Lodging Cancellation Policy

  • The cancellation fees is 10$ if you notify 8 weeks in advance.
  • 15% penalty (Administration fees) on the total amount of your bill if you cancel 6 weeks in advance.
  • 50% penalty on the total amount of your bill if you cancel 4 weeks in advance.
  • No refund if you cancel 2 weeks in advance.
  • If the first or the last day were shortened by a late arrival or an early departure time imposed by airlines, no refund would be possible.

Rates Policy

  • Applicable taxes of 14.975% aboves. (In order to calculate the total amount of your activity, take the cost of the activity and multiply it by 1.14975, so you will get the total cost.)
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. For example, in the case of an increase in local taxes, the price of gasoline or other imponderable factor.
  • If due to time imposed by the airline, the companies first and last days were shortened by a late arrival or early departure, no refund can be made.

Changing subscription

  • Unless a prior request, any request for waiver, modification or postponement by the customer will be considered a cancellation of the package and will incur cancellation charges provided above.

Conditions for horseback riding activity

  • Arrive 30 minutes before departure time to receive training.
    Have long pants and closed shoes.
  • Minimum age: 5 years.
  • Wearing a helmet is recommended (but not required) for children.

Conditions for fishing all year

  • No catch and release.
  • Fishing without boat walking around natural lakes.
  • Fishing license not required.

Conditions for hiking

  • No special requirements.

Conditions for dog sledding activity

  • Arrive 30 minutes before departure time to receive training.
  • Two (2) people per sled.
  • Bring a blanket for young children.

Conditions for snowshoe rental

  • Deposit of $ 50 per pair of snowshoes in case of breakage or theft.

Conditions for snowmobile rentals

  • Be aged 21 years or older.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license. (Required Presentation)
  • A deposit of 1300$ and a credit card imprint of 1700$ is requested ub case if damage to the vehicule or theft. This caution of 3000$ maximum per snowmobile is requested in case of damage or theft and payable upon the signature of the contract by VISA or MasterCard.
  • Damage or loss of equipment will result in additional charges.
  • To rent a snowmobile model BRP Grand Touring or Expedition 900cc a maximum of 3000$ per snowmobile is required for liability in case of damage or theft protection for up to 5000$ in damage.
Policy on the return of a vehicle
  • Renting your vehicle starts when you start on the trail. It ends when you return the rental center. You are responsible for your arrival including the period of preparation and rental return. Failing to get your start in the prescribed hours, it may be that your activity be delayed, transferred and even canceled.
  • Any term of the lease term unfulfilled impose a late either, $ 25 CAD per 20 minutes.
  • Furthermore breakage and mechanical problems, if we bring assistance following an incident, or because the client is lost or for any other damage, and it involves moving us, additional charges will be billed to the customer at a rate of $ 75 per hour for travel and $ 1.50 / km traveled.
